Today brings the nastiest weather I have ever seen. It looks like God dumped an inch of melted slushie on the ground. There is literally about an inch of half-melted snow/ice and standing rainwater all over the ground, sidewalks, parking lots – everywhere! So gross.

Last night Whit and I hosted a Superbowlless party. It was fantastic. We ate chili and sausage dip, played Dominion and Ticket to Ride, and chatted with friends instead of watching the Superbowl.

Before our friends came over, I finally finished sewing the back pillow for the chair that I started a year ago. Ugh, ugh, ugh. Sewing is AWFUL! I am not the right kind of person for that job. It was fun to learn, but I want to be able to just do it how I feel like doing it – not worrying about precise measurements and exact sewing and all that crap. I live way too in my head to deal with such a physical task. I decided that now that I’ve finished all the pieces that need to be sewn, I will re-upholster the rest of the chair. It’s technically supposed to be slip-covered, but… ain’t nobody got time for that!

I’m making progress on Whit’s birthday trip. There are so many things I want to tell him! Especially that the morning after my guilt-ridden Facebook post, this happened:

 

I about died!! Especially because she ACCEPTED MY FRIEND REQUEST after that!!!!

So, I assume she isn’t creeped out by me, but rather wishes to be my friend??! I would like to be her friend, she seems chill.
