If you want to detox your body and get on the right track, nutrition-wise, you could absolutely make up your own regimen to follow. I’ve done it before, approximately following the Nutritarian guidelines set out by Dr. Joel Furhman (“Eat to Live”). However, this time I knew I needed more than just my own determination, which I knew might start to lack after a few days. My parents started the 30 Days to Healthy Living program by Arbonne at the first of the year, and when I visited them I knew I wanted to jump in.
What’s in the Arbonne 30 Days to Healthy Living set?
–7-day Body Cleanse, aka gentle detox-assistant (bonus – it’s delicious!)
-60 servings of vegan, gluten-free protein (1 bag chocolate mix and 1 bag vanilla). Each has 20 grams of protein in a serving. I use one (half serving) or two scoops (full serving) in a smoothie with almond milk and berries or other fruit, adding in fiber and greens too.
-30 servings of flavorless, soluble fiber. You can easily add it to your protein shake or another drink. Each serving has 12 grams of fiber.
-60 Energy Fizz Sticks (30 pomegranate and 30 citrus). These are LIFE. Haha, but seriously – I love them! 50mg of caffeine, yet only 2 grams of sugar, and absolutely delicious. Green tea, guarana and ginseng, plus vitamins are in the energy-boosting formula. I drink one every day around 2-4pm when I start to feel lagging or sleepy, and I instantly feel more alert and energetic.
-40 bags of Herbal Detox Tea. This caffeine-free tea has a peppermint twist, and is perfect to drink at night before you wind down for bed. It contains 9 botanicals that support the liver and kidneys to help your body naturally detox.
-30 Digestion Plus drink mixes with prebiotics, probiotics, and enzymes to help your gut and digestive system.
For 30 days, you can include the above in your diet throughout the day, perhaps like this:
- For the first week, drink one cleanse per day, throughout the day.
- Drink one energy fizzie in the morning instead of coffee or tea
- Make a smoothie for lunch (or have two per day, one for breakfast and one for dinner, to help with weight loss) with water or non-dairy milk, a little bit of fruit and/or ice if desired, with a scoop of fiber.
- Drink a digestion plus with lunch
- Drink one energy fizzie in the afternoon instead of relying on coffee or soda
- Drink one herbal detox tea in the evening to relax before bed
In addition, I have the Greens Balance to easily add one full serving of fruits/veggies to your daily diet, by simply putting a scoop of yummy powder in your morning protein smoothie. I also recommend the Fit Chews for a candy-like snack that helps curb cravings when you’re hungry for a tempting snack (they are the perfect in-class or in-church snack when you’re starving but want to be discreet!).
If you use these products ALONG WITH a detoxifying diet (free of gluten, dairy, peanuts; full of veggies and whole foods like grains, legumes, fruits, and protein), you will be feeling GREAT in just one month! And bonus, you will probably lose some weight. 🙂 Amazingly, all of these products are vegan, free of gluten, formulated with botanicals, and crafted by cutting edge science. Plus, from personal experience, I can vouch that they do what they say they’re going to do. They heal your gut, give you important vitamins and nutrients, reduce stress, and boost energy.
This is what I’m doing for the next month. If you’re interested in learning more, click any of the links to browse through the website, join the Facebook group, or send me a message. Woohoo!
